Weigelia Florida Varigata. Every garden should have one of these --
why? because from April when it sprouts its first leaf until late November
its two-tone leaves of emerald and silver make it a gorgeous sight;
It is an upright shrub growing well over 6 feet and with an aspect of
well-groomed feathery elegance.
Throughout its long season its lasting flowers grow in 3 or 4 flushes.
It is a very feminine shrub which, at its best, always reminds me of
a bride waiting for her bride-groom.
